Acclaimed pizza restaurant @pizza launches in Grand Central, Birmingham, this February, bringing its signature rectangular pizzas and a mouth-watering 64,000 flavour combinations to the city.

Grand Central will be @pizza’s second location, following its successful launch in Edinburgh in 2017 – where it is ranked the number one pizza restaurant in the Scottish capital on Trip Advisor*.

Built on a passion for the finest ingredients, @pizza’s sourdough bases are slow-proved for 48 hours. The individual toppings are carefully sourced from Italy and the UK to guarantee quality and great taste.

Located in Grand Central, the 60-cover restaurant introduces @pizza’s “counter culture” to Birmingham – a concept that puts the power back in diners’ hands.

Visitors order at the counter and either choose their own topping combination, or one of @pizza’s recommendations, such as the best-selling Heartbreaker: a Roquito pepper sauce base with Scottish mozzarella, red onion, pepperoni, Italian sausage, jalapenos, rosemary and sriracha sauce. The restaurant also offers gluten-free options, plus a range of dessert pizzas and gelato for those with a sweet tooth.

The pizzas are created, baked for 90 seconds and can either be eaten in the restaurant or taken away. Diners will also be able to order for collection via a new @Pizza app, which is available on both Android and iPhone, or online at atpizza.com/birmingham.

All pizzas cost just £9.95, no matter how many toppings, and can be accompanied by a number of drinks options including craft sodas that use sustainable cane sugar, Italian wines, cocktails and a selection of local beers. The @pizza packaging, which includes pizza boxes and soda cups, is made from vegetables and is 100% compostable – in-line with the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability.

Rupert Lyle, founder and CEO of @pizza, said:

Great pizza is an essential ingredient for every city, so we’re excited to bring our concept to Birmingham and show diners what we’re all about. @pizza fits in with the speed of modern-day life, being easy to order and quick to make, but quality ingredients, careful preparation and service with a smile are at our absolute core – making for an uncompromised, unrivalled pizza experience.”

@Pizza opens to the public mid-February. Opening hours will be 11am – 10pm. For more information and to hear about the latest deals and offers at the restaurant. Visit atpizza.com/birmingham and like @Pizza on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
