Biggest Cadbury World Shop opens in Bournville
Via Olivia for Cadbury World
This week, Cadbury World in Bournville, Birmingham, will burst open its chocolatey doors this week to unveil its biggest shop yet, with its largest range of Cadbury products ever.
Just in time for Christmas shopping, the new store in the heart of Bournville has more Cadbury lines under one roof than any other store in the UK, with no-less-than 350 product lines PLUS fifty special edition Christmas ranges.
The Cadbury World shop first opened 34 years ago and all the classic confections including Cadbury Dairy Milk, Crunchie, Flake, Marvellous Creations plus Toblerone and plenty more are available in the store. Guests will also find a host of exclusive handmade chocolate products from Christmas trees, to teapots, to footballs – all made on-site and hand-decorated by the talented Cadbury World chocolatiers.
Barrie Oldridge, Store Manager at the Cadbury World Shop, will be celebrating his 30th anniversary working at the attraction next year. When asked about working for almost three decades at Cadbury World’s popular chocolate shop, Barrie said:
The time working at the Cadbury World shop has flown by, and it certainly doesn’t feel like almost 30 years – more like 10!
My favourite thing about the job is meeting all the visitors, who share a love of chocolate with me, whether they travel from down the road or different corners of the world – on occasion I even get to practice my Español!
Visitors often ask what my favourite products are, which having tried them all, is a big question! My top picks would have to be Picnic and Starbar, however, the new product launches every year mean the top spot is always highly disputed. The Cadbury World chocolatiers’ personalised products are also spectacular.
Cadbury World is always full of fun but particularly at this time of year it really feels extra magical. I can’t wait to see our guests enjoy the attraction and experience our brand-new shop!”
Also, at Cadbury World this Christmas, Santa’s Stage Show returns running weekends from until Sunday 22nd December 2024 plus 23rd and 24th December. Guests can join Santa and his trusty elf, Jingle, for his live show and experience a sleigh-full of cheer.
This year Cadbury World has received £8 million investment from Merlin Entertainments. This new shop opening is part of the investment which also includes other refurbishments and new chocolatey zones, including the Have A Go zone, new Cadbury Chocolate Quest ride, Bournville Experience and more.
