Charity Pancake Day at Fazenda
Shrove Tuesday is getting a South American makeover this year, as Fazenda will be dishing up Dulce de leche pancakes – with all proceeds going to a good cause.
Available on Tuesday 5th March only, every penny spent on the £5 limited-edition dessert will be donated to Birmingham-based charity, Cure Leukaemia.
A signature sweet in Brazil and Argentina, the rodizio-style restaurant will be adding generous spoonfuls of homemade caramel Dulce de leche to freshly flipped pancakes, to celebrate Shrove Tuesday.
Fazenda, which opened in November 2018, has chosen to work with Cure Leukaemia on a number of activities throughout the year, as the charity looks to strengthen local partnerships and once again set a record-breaking fundraising total in 2019.
Jackie Kelly, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Cure Leukaemia, said:
It means so much to us as a charity when brands like Fazenda want to work with us. The pancakes look delicious, and we’re excited for the other tasty activities we’ll be working together on.”
Eleni Constantinou, Relationships & Events Manager at Fazenda Birmingham, said:
We are really proud to be able to support Cure Leukaemia, in what will be the first of several fundraisers we want to do with the charity. All of our Dulce de leche desserts are extremely popular, so combining it with pancakes will definitely be a hit!”
The Dulce de leche pancake will be available all day on Tuesday 5th March
