Concerts in the Park returns to Royal Sutton Coldfield
Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council has confirmed the full City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (The CBSO) programme for Concerts in the Park 2019 and it promises classics and hits from blockbuster films and musicals guaranteed to get Concert goers on their feet, dancing and singing along on Saturday 29th June.
The annual highlight of the Royal Town’s summer calendar, Concerts in the Park is a chance to enjoy exceptional music, fine food and a glass or two of bubbly in the glorious surroundings of Sutton Park. Tickets are available via suttoncoldfieldtowncouncil.gov.uk/concerts-2019
The CBSO, one of the world’s greatest orchestra’s, will be joined by Conductor Michael Seal who has brought his energy and enthusiasm to the finest Orchestras across the UK and internationally.
Returning to Concerts in the Park for the second time, Michael will take the audience on a musical adventure from Defying Gravity to I Dreamed a Dream with a rousing end to the open-air concert once again with Edward Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance March No 1 followed by C. Hubert H. Parry’s Jerusalem. The programme is perfect for all ages.
Joining Michael and the orchestra on stage is acclaimed British Musical Theatre actress Louise Dearman. Louise is widely known for her many performances in London’s West End, UK National Tours and the UK and international concert arena; bringing her amazing vocals and theatrical
wonder to Sutton Park.

On Saturday doors open at 3.30pm with the first act on stage at 4.30pm. Supporting the orchestra this year, aiming to get audiences out of their camping chairs, off their picnic mat and swinging their stuff are UK Jive act The Jive Aces! Famed worldwide for their high-energy spectacular showmanship and for being the first live band to reach the final rounds of Britain’s Got Talent, The Jive Aces have firmly established themselves as the UK’s No.1 Jive & Swing band.
