Digbeth Community comes together to feed the homeless this Christmas

Four Digbeth based businesses are donating their time to help feed the homeless this Christmas.

Last year, The Old Crown provided hot Christmas dinners to the homeless and this year Birmingham’s oldest pub returns with help from the Digbeth community to provide hot dinners and care packages on Sunday 23rd December from Noon until 4PM.

Staff and local members of the community are volunteering their time to make sure no one goes hungry this Christmas.

Items can be donated to the pub, which is open seven days a week from Noon. Please do not bring clothes, duvets, pillows or food as these items cannot be accepted.

Ciaran Healy, manager of The Old Crown, said:

We are thankful that more businesses in Digbeth are getting involved for such a good cause. We’re hoping to feed more people than last year, providing valuable information and support as well as spreading some Christmas cheer to those who need it the most.
