January 2023: Treecycling returns with The Hospice Charity Partnership
Via Charlotte for The Hospice Charity Partnership
December 2022: The Hospice Charity Partnership’s Treecycling, The region’s biggest Christmas tree recycling campaign, is back. Book your collection for January 14th and 15th today to save yourself a trip to the tip, ensure your Christmas tree is responsibly disposed of, and support local people in desperate need of palliative and end-of-life care this festive season.
Last year, Treecycling raised almost £110,000 for The Hospice Charity Partnership. Formed by the merger of Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice and John Taylor Hospice, The Hospice Charity Partnership provides expert palliative and end-of-life care for people and their families living with life-limiting illnesses. The charity is 40% funded by voluntary donations, so fundraising is vital in ensuring it can continue to support people in desperate need of care.
As well as making a difference to local people living with life-limiting illness, Treecycling is a convenient, environmentally friendly way to dispose of your Christmas tree. After your tree has been collected by volunteers, it will be chipped into biomass fuel – taking the hassle out of disposing of your tree.
Regarding Treecycling, Jess Bolton, Community Campaigns and Digital Fundraising Manager at The Hospice Charity Partnership said:
We are so excited to welcome back Treecycling, our flagship campaign. Not only is it a great service, it’s also a hugely important fundraiser for us, having raised over £500,000 for palliative and end-of-life care.
By booking your collection and making a donation, you will make a difference to local people living with life-limiting illness, whilst making your life easier and being kinder to the environment – what’s not to love?
A huge thank you to all of our wonderful supporters that have or will make their Treecycling booking in 2023 – we couldn’t do what we do without you!”
Treecycling runs across most of Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield and Solihull.
