From Couch to Comedy
Ever wanted to be a stand-up comedian?
Love the idea of performing comedy but feeling a bit nervous?
The nine-week From couch to comedy course, led by comedian Rach Sambrooks, will take you through creative ways of writing and performing your own material and building your confidence on stage. The course culminates in you performing your own five-minute stand-up slot to an audience of friends and family.
Creative Writing Course
If you’re feeling more Shakespeare than stand-up, try your hand at the ten-week Creative Writing course. You’ll learn about different styles and formats of prose including fiction and non-fiction, generating, and developing ideas, genre, dialogue, structure, setting, narrative voice and lots more.
Introduction to Acting
The ten-week Introduction to Acting course for budding thespians will develop your acting skills in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. The course will include group exercises, drama games and improvisation, along with a range of approaches to acting technique. You’ll learn to understand and develop characters, rehearse scenes from a play and explore the use of voice and body through vocal and physical exercises.
