Join Birmingham Hospice’s Secret Garden Memory Walk
Via Rebecca for Birmingham Hospice
The Secret Garden Memory Walk is Birmingham Hospice‘s magical new event and they are inviting local people to support hospice care by taking part this Summer.
Birmingham Hospice, the new name for Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice and John Taylor Hospice, is encouraging individuals to sign up to the Secret Garden Memory Walk, alongside their friends, family and colleagues. The event takes place on Saturday 8th July 2023 and the charity is inviting both adults and children to join them at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens to walk either 10km or 2.5km in memory of their loved ones.
Doors to the Secret Garden will open at 4pm where fun activities and entertainment await all who sign up. Beginning and ending at the beautiful Botanical Gardens, the walk will also pass Birmingham Hospice’s White Rose Display; a stunning public installation from Wednesday 5th July until Sunday 9th July 2023.
Each white rose is symbol devotion, peace, loyalty and ever-lasting love and can be devoted to someone special, in return for a donation. The metal roses will stand proudly amongst hundreds of others in the Botanical Gardens, a special and peaceful place for you to visit and pay respects and will be yours to take home and treasure forever once the installation has finished.
Rebecca Richards, Senior Events Manager at Birmingham Hospice, said:
We’re so excited to be bringing the magic of our past events Enchanted Walk and Sunset Walk together. Both events hold such a special place in so many of our supporters’ hearts. We can’t wait to help them make more special memories with their friends and family.
Every donation given in support of this campaign, from devoting a rose to raising sponsorship from the walk, will help patients and their families receive the vital care and support they need.”
Together, we can plant the seeds for the future of hospice care and make every moment matter.
