Two of Birmingham’s independent restaurant brands are joining forces to provide a fresh new evening offer for the hippest and most thriving part of Birmingham, Digbeth. Rico Libre started five years ago with one chef and one waiter and a huge passion for tapas food. Over the years it grew in popularity through word of mouth for delivering quality and authentic tapas with a twist. It often features on TripAdvisor as the number one tapas restaurant in Birmingham.

Kieran Mcinerney, owner of Kanteen said

Rico Libre has always been the best evening restaurant in Digbeth and we are so happy they have joined us here at Kanteen. It’s great news for Digbeth that we can keep this restaurant in the area.”

Kanteen opened its doors two years ago to give Digbeth fresh fast food. The eatery, which provides a range of meat, vegetarian and vegan hot and cold food is inspired by exotic flavours and food from around the world. Cooked by trained and professional chefs it receives consistent five star reviews.
