This production contains very adults themes and strong language.

Rocky Horror at The Alexandra: Review

⭐⭐⭐⭐”Well worth seeing”

Directed by Christopher Luscombe,, written by Richard O’Brien

Brad (James Bisp) and Janet (Hayley Flaherty) have a car breakdown by an old house and need to call for some assistance. They happen across an old house which has some very spooky characters residing there.

The set looks like the inside of a film reel and the props flip into place rather than dropping down. The music is the star here as well as the humour of the script and the cheeky audience vibe. I always look foward to seeing Rocky Horror in Birmingham and know that the majority of poeple will have a great experience.

Jackie Clune returns as The Narrator in this fun, cheeky and downright silly production. For the first-time viewer of this stage show, it is probably a bit startling to hear the audience shouting out from their own script or men and ladies in “sexy” underwear in the audience. Stephen Webb is great as Frank whilst Laura Bird and Daisy Steere are excellent as Magenta and Columbia.

Science Fiction/Double Feature, I’m Going Home, and Superheroes are all great, but the audience is really here for The Time Warp and Sweet Transvestite.

Well worth seeing, The Rocky Horror Show is at The Alexandra until 11th July 2026. Book tickets here: atgtickets.com/shows/the-rocky-horror-show/the-alexandra-theatre-birmingham.
