The Hospice Charity Partnership is calling on rugby fans to combine their love of the game with a good cause by joining the charity’s much-loved Rugby Ramble on Saturday 12th March 2022. The Rugby Ramble will see ramblers complete a scenic ten-mile or three-mile sponsored walk, before watching the highly anticipated England vs Ireland Six Nations 2022 match on the big screens at Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club.

Rugby Ramble

In addition to supporting local hospice care, Rugby Ramble promises to be a fun-filled day for all. On arrival at the club, the Moseley Oak team will be playing their own home match to help ramblers get into the spirit. Whilst watching the Six Nations match, participants will be treated to a free refreshing pint (wine and non-alcoholic options available), heart-warming pie and commemorative gift, as a little ‘thank you’ for their support!

All funds raised from Rugby Ramble will go to The Hospice Charity Partnership, formed by the merger of Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice and John Taylor Hospice, which provides expert palliative and end of life care to people and their families living with life-limiting illnesses.

Rebecca Richards, Senior Events Manager at The Hospice Charity Partnership, said:

We are so excited to be bringing Rugby Ramble back after two years. The event sees rugby fans and our supporters come together to help raise vital funds for local hospice care by cheering on their favourite rugby team.

We hope to raise £25,000 from this event, so your support would mean the world to us.”

Registration for the ten-mile walk opens 10am at Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice, Selly Park, B29 7DA – the walk will start at 11am, registration for the three-mile walk opens 2pm at The Village Pub Moseley, B13 8JR.
