Derren Brown: Showman (6th to 10th September)
The master of misdirection, Derren Brown has spent years perfecting his skill at predicting behaviour and spooking audiences along the way. This tour returns to The Alexandra for the second time in twelve months.

Fisherman’s Friends – The Musical (13th to 17th September)
Based on the true story of a Cornish Folk music group and their shanties and sea-inspired songs. The Fisherman’s Friends musical includes (What shall we do with the) Drunken Sailor and Blow the Man Down.

South Pacific (27th September to 1st October)
The musical composed by Richard Rodgers, with lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II is loosely based on Tales of the South Pacific by James A. Michener and includes well-known songs such as I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair and Happy Talk.

The Osmonds – A New Musical (25th to 29th October)
Jay Osmond brings the story of his family to the Birmingham stage as part of the UK tour. Look out for songs so well-known that other groups cover them including Love Me For A Reason and Crazy Horses, plus songs The Osmonds themselves covered including Puppy Love and Paper Roses.

The Mousetrap (31st October to 5th November)
There are secrets to be uncovered in this classic story set in a countryside guesthouse in the south of England and written by Agatha Christie. This anniversary tour features Todd Carty and Gwyneth Strong among its cast.

The Shawshank Redemption (7th to 12th November)
Joe Absolom and Ben Onwukwe lead a cast bringing this much-loved film to the stage for the final dates of its Autumn tour.

The stage version of the Malorie Blackman best-selling novel returns to touring with this stop in Birmingham.

Saturday Night Fever (22nd to 26th November)
The stage version of the hit film is a much more adult affair in the streets of Brooklyn, New York with a playlist full of Bee Gees hits including; Tragedy, How Deep Is Your Love, More Than a Woman and Stayin’ Alive.

An Inspector Calls (29th November to 3rd December)
J. B. Priestley’s play is now a staple in GCSE English Literature, and is traditionally set in Brumley (a fictional “industrial city in the north Midlands.” says Wikipedia!) in 1912.

Dreamgirls (6th to 31st December)
Although best known as a 2006 film with Jennifer Hudson, Jamie Foxx and Beyoncé, Dreamgirls is actually a 1981 Broadway musical that seems to share lots in common with the real-life story of The Supremes and is also mostly set in the 1960s and 1970s.

Girl from the North Country (7th to 11th February)

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (21st to 25th February)
A hit film based on the book These Foolish Things by Deborah Moggach, also inspired tv series and now a stage play written by Deborah Moggach based on the novel. Look out for casting announcements for the Alexandra dates of this UK Tour closer to the time.

The King and I (28th February to 4th March)
The story of Anna and the King of Siam (Thailand) returns with the famous Rodgers and Hammerstein version of Anna Leonowens and King Rama IV: Mongkut‘s lives when Anna becomes a teacher in the Royal court.
