Street Kitchen Brothers brings a true taste of Greece to the West Midlands
A delicious new Greek-inspired street food eatery will open their doors for the first time this year, allowing guests to dine in and experience beautiful authentic dishes.
Street Kitchen Brothers, a Walsall-based Greek-Cypriot family run business, have a passion for Greek food. Owners Chris Butcher and Theo Polyviou are excited for guests to experience their Greek Mezze cuisine, including traditional favourites such as Souvlaki and Stifado, in the new eatery on Wolverhampton Road, Walsall.
A true taste of Greece can be experienced at the eatery, which will be music to the ears of customers who were unable to dine out or go on holiday throughout the Covid-19 lockdown.
Guests can indulge in traditional Greek flavours; from Gyros, Lamb Kefte and Pastourmas, to sweet traditional treats of Baklava and Kadaifi.
Throughout the Covid-19 lockdown, Street Kitchen Brothers kept customers satisfied with their unique Kouzina “Cook at Home” range and takeaway service. Due to high demand, the company recently partnered with Just Eat and Uber Eats.
The online shop has proved to be a huge success for Street Kitchen Brothers, who wanted to recreate their Grandma’s Greek feasts from their childhoods in Greece and Cyprus, where the dinner table would be filled with memorable dishes and shared by the whole family.
The Kouzina (which translates to Kitchen in Greek) “Cook At Home” range, which has proved to be a popular choice with customers throughout the lockdown, is available for delivery throughout Birmingham with further plans to expand to nationwide delivery in the new year.
The company, which has been popular at Digbeth Dining Club, BBC Good Food Show, and Lichfield Food Festival; their famous Moussaka was seen on the popular BBC TV series Hairy Bikers.
This year Street Kitchen Brothers were the charity partner for Lakis Greek Kitchen, a charitable trust which raises money for those in need through a pop-up food event called ‘Kleftiko Weekends’, helping to deliver Greek dishes to raise funds for Acorns Children’s Hospice and also donating a percentage of their takings towards the fundraiser.
Due to the current Covid-19 lockdown regulations, Street Kitchen Brothers are operating as a takeaway and delivery service. The restaurant is closed until further notice. See more via their website here: streetkitchenbrothers.co.uk
