At long last! Soul and retro nightclub The Night Owl have announced the highly-anticipated return of their Big Birmingham Soul Night for 2022. Based on Lower Trinity Street, Digbeth, The Night Owl will be taking over B:Music Birmingham Town Hall this 12th February for the fifth time since its opening.

Bringing back the nostalgia of Blackpool Mecca and Wigan Casino’s world-famous Northern Soul all-nighters, The Night Owl are delighted to announce DJ Colin Curtis (Golden Torch/Blackpool Mecca) will be headlining the main room, alongside PEP (Catacombs/Wigan Casino/Cleethorpes Pier), ace face mod DJ Adrian Hawkins (AWOL) and Night Owl resident DJs Sonny and Spare, Mazzy Snape and Ed Edwards.

After the success of the former Big Birmingham Soul Nights, The Night Owl will be bringing all the best floor fillers to two rooms inside the historic Town Hall. Fans of the music from the 1960s and 70s can also expect a mix of mod, disco, funk and more in the second room, whilst the main room will be filled with Northern Soul anthems and classic soul tracks well into the night.

The Night Owl have become famous across the country for championing retro sounds. It’s not just Northern Soul fans this club caters to; since opening their doors, the independently run club has gone from strength to strength by featuring both tribute bands and local live music acts, Stranger Things, Bowie and Prince-themed club nights, disco dance-offs and more.

In February 2018, shoppers were introduced to the club with a surprise flash mob in the Great Western Arcade, with the aim to show Birmingham why people are so passionate about Northern Soul and the timeless dance moves it’s associated with.

The Big Birmingham Soul Night hosted by The Night Owl at B:Music Birmingham Town Hall takes place from 9pm until 4am on Saturday 12th February. The past Big Birmingham Soul Night events have sold out way in advance, with this instalment anticipated to do the same. Tickets are on sale from The Ticket Sellers now. bmusic.co.uk/events/the-big-birmingham-soul-night
