Fancy planning your 2022 visit to Birmingham Cocktail Weekend in advance? The weekend is scheduled from 8th to 10th July 2022 and gift vouchers which cost the same as a single ticket for the weekend are now available to give to your cocktail loving friend.
Alex Nicholson-Evans creator of Birmingham Cocktail Weekend said:
We’re really excited to be introducing Christmas Gift Vouchers this year. Wristbands go on sale at the end of January so cocktail lovers have never before been able to give the gift of BCW to friends or family.
We know that lots of our cocktail lovers use BCW as a date to meet up with loved ones, so giving the gift of a wristband and making plans to sip those delicious signature cocktails together feels like a really great gift idea to us!

Plantable Seeded Cards from Blooming Heck UK
Created by Emma Stokes who has shared content with BrumHour for many years. These are plantable seeded cards with artistic designs. Emma said:
Blooming Heck is an eco-friendly and zero waste concept that bloomed out of the darkness that is Covid-19. The majority of my time throughout 2020 was spent in the garden with my new born baby and my boyfriend.
One day, I wanted to send my parents some flowers and a card to let them know I really loved and missed them. Normal ‘greeting’ cards that you find online just weren’t cutting it and seemed, in some respect, lifeless.
So, I created this idea of Blooming Heck – a simple concept of planting a message and watching it bloom throughout hard times. The idea has really taken off and I’m so very grateful to all of the customers who have taken the time to leave feedback, and praise what is still a relatively new and unique idea.
The last year has enabled people to stop and reflect on what is important to them. For me, it’s family and friends, alongside the idea of a ‘born again’ message. I’m hoping in the next few months/years/lifetime, people continue to like and admire my small business that has brought a new meaning to sending a simple card to loved ones.
Blooming Heck uses recycled envelopes and compostable vegetable starch cellophane bags to protect the products in transit. I really want to promote the idea of ‘clean’ gift giving although I’m still working on processes to make it even more eco-friendly.
The Seed Paper is personally sourced and is 100% handmade with recycled paper and embedded with botanical seeds. The paper can be planted and you can watch your message turn into beautiful flowers.”
